Privacy policy
What appbuff.net collects, which services handle it, how long it stays, how to have it deleted, and how your store's data is handled during a project.
1. Who is responsible
Appbuff, a software studio based in Bangladesh, is responsible for the data described here. Questions and requests go to support@appbuff.net.
2. What we collect on the site
The contact form collects your name, your email address, what you tell us you need, your store platform and budget range if you choose them, and the message you write. The form also records the IP address the message came from and the result of an anti-spam check, to stop abuse.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses and pages requested, for a short period for security and to keep the site running.
We do not run advertising trackers. If we add analytics, it will be a service that reports aggregate page views without identifying you, and this page will say which one.
3. Why we use it
To reply to you, to prepare a quote, to keep a record of what we agreed, and to keep the form from being abused. The legal basis, where one is required, is the step you asked us to take before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in running the site securely.
4. Who handles it for us
- Hosting and form delivery run on Netlify.
- Form messages are sent through Resend, an email delivery service, to our mailbox.
- Our mailbox is hosted by Zoho Mail.
- The anti-spam check on the form is Cloudflare Turnstile, which may set a functional cookie and processes your IP address to decide whether you are a bot.
Each of these processes data on our instructions under their own terms. Some of them run outside your country. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Messages stay in our mailbox for as long as the conversation is relevant and for up to three years after the last contact, so we can refer back to what was agreed. Quotes and invoices are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Server logs are kept for a short period by the host and then deleted.
6. Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@appbuff.net and we will answer within thirty days. Deletion may not apply to records we must keep for tax or legal reasons, and we will say so if that is the case. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
7. Cookies
The site sets no tracking or advertising cookies of its own. The anti-spam check on the form may set a functional cookie. Your browser lets you block cookies; the form may then ask you to complete the anti-spam check again.
8. Your store’s data during a project
When we build for you, we work on a staging or development copy of your store, and that copy often contains your customers’ names, addresses and order history. We use that data only to build and test the work in the quote. We do not copy it to any other system, we restrict access to the people on the project, and we delete our copies within thirty days of the project ending. Where the law where you sell requires a data processing agreement, we sign a reasonable one before starting. The service agreement has the full terms.
9. Children
The site and our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The version and date at the top say which version applies. If a change affects what we do with data you already gave us, we will email you.
